Learn To Play Hockey (6-14 Years)
The NESV Learn to Play Hockey program designed for the first time hockey player. It is suited for both boys and girls, aged 6-14. The program will focus on the fundamentals of skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting, in addition to improving each player’s balance, agility and control.
Sessions will also include stations that teach a variety of skills: stopping, turning, skating backwards and game scenarios. Our instructors will establish an encouraging and fun environment that will allow your skater to improve his or her abilities, in addition to building confidence.
Required equipment: HECC-approved hockey helmet with facemask, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, knee pads, hockey skates, hockey gloves and hockey stick. A hockey jersey will be provided.
*All skaters must have completed a Learn to Skate program prior to registering for the NESV Learn To Play Hockey.
